Sample Answer:
I’d like to talk about a guy named Rohan, who is now one of my closest friends, but honestly, when I first met him, I couldn’t stand him.
We met around two years ago at my workplace. At that time, I was new, and he was already a senior employee. My first impression of him was that he was arrogant and full of himself because he rarely talked to anyone and always seemed busy on his phone or laptop.
Initially, I kept my distance because I assumed he had an attitude problem. But a turning point came when we had to work together on a challenging project. That’s when I got to see a completely different side of him. He was incredibly helpful, patient, and even cracked jokes to keep the mood light. I realised he wasn’t arrogant at all — he was just introverted and took time to open up.
Over time, we started having lunch together, sharing personal stories, and even hanging out after work. Now, he’s the person I can count on for both professional advice and personal support. Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t let my first impression decide the course of our relationship because I would have missed out on a great friend.
