1. Where do you live?

I live in an apartment in a residential area of my city. It’s a peaceful neighbourhood with all the basic facilities nearby, so it’s quite convenient for me.

2. Are you a student or working?

I’m currently a student, but I also do some part-time work to gain experience. Balancing both can be challenging, but it helps me stay productive.

3. What technology do you use in your work?

I use a laptop and several online tools for research, communication, and project work. Most of my tasks require digital collaboration, so technology is essential for me.

4. What challenges do you face at work?

The main challenge is managing time, especially when deadlines come together. Sometimes technical issues also slow me down, like unstable internet or software glitches.

5. How do you feel when you are in a crowd?

It depends on the situation. If I’m at an event or celebration, I feel energetic. But in places like markets or public transport, I sometimes feel overwhelmed.

6. Do you enjoy being in a crowd?

Not always. I prefer calm environments, but occasionally I don’t mind crowds, especially when the atmosphere is positive and lively.

7. What are the effects of crowds on people?

Crowds can create excitement and a sense of unity, but they can also cause stress, anxiety, or confusion. It really depends on the person and the situation.

PART 2 — Cue Card

Describe a situation where you waited for something special.

Sample Answer

A situation where I waited for something special was when I waited to receive my university admission letter. This happened about two years ago, right after I finished my school exams. I had applied to one of my dream universities, and getting accepted there meant a lot to me because it would shape my entire future.

The waiting period felt extremely long, even though it was only about three weeks. Every day I would check my email multiple times, hoping for some update. I even kept my phone with me all the time so I wouldn’t miss any notification. I remember feeling excited, nervous, and impatient all at the same time.

Finally, one evening, I received the email saying that I had been accepted. I was so relieved and happy that I almost jumped out of my chair. All the waiting suddenly felt worthwhile. That moment was truly special because it marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

This experience taught me that sometimes waiting is necessary, especially for things that matter. It also made me realise that patience often brings rewarding results in the end.

PART 3 — Discussion Answers

1. Do you think patience is important?

Yes, patience is extremely important. It helps people stay calm, make better decisions, and handle stressful situations without reacting impulsively.

2. Why do people need patience?

People need patience because many things in life take time, such as learning new skills, building relationships, or achieving goals. Without patience, people easily become frustrated and give up too soon.

3. Who has more patience—children or younger people?

Generally, older people tend to have more patience because they have more life experience. Children and younger people often want quick results, so they struggle to wait.

4. How can children be taught patience?

Children can learn patience through simple activities like waiting for their turn, playing team games, or helping with tasks that require time. Parents can also set examples by staying calm and explaining why waiting is sometimes necessary.

5. In which situations in daily life do we need patience?

We need patience in many daily situations, such as standing in queues, dealing with slow internet, handling disagreements, or managing workloads. Patience helps us stay balanced and avoid unnecessary stress.
