Part 1 – Interview
Q: Where do you live?
I live in a medium-sized city that is quite well-developed. My neighborhood is peaceful, with parks, schools, and small shops nearby. It’s a nice balance between modern facilities and a calm lifestyle.
Q: Have you ever been interested in space or astronomy?
Yes, a little bit. I’m not deeply into it, but whenever I see documentaries about planets or black holes, I get fascinated. The idea that there’s a whole universe beyond our planet always amazes me.
Q: Would you like to travel to space one day? Why or why not?
Honestly, yes, I would love to. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see Earth from space. At the same time, I know it’s risky and very expensive, so practically speaking, it’s more of a dream than a plan.
Part 2 – Cue Card
Describe a newly constructed thing that improved your society
Sample Answer:
Well, one newly constructed thing in my area that has really improved our society is a public library that was opened just a few months ago.
Earlier, people in my neighborhood didn’t have proper access to books, study material, or a quiet place to read. But ever since this library was built, students, professionals, and even elderly people go there to spend their time productively.
I first visited the library right after its inauguration, and I was amazed by its modern design. It has a spacious reading hall, computers with internet access, and even a small section for children. The best part is that it is completely free for everyone, which makes it accessible to all sections of society.
I feel it has brought a positive change because now youngsters are spending time reading rather than wasting hours on their phones. Also, many people prepare for competitive exams there, and it has become a hub for learning.
All in all, I think this library is a wonderful addition to our community and has uplifted the overall educational environment.
Part 3 – Discussion
Q: Do you like chocolate? Why or why not?
Yes, I do. I enjoy chocolate mainly because of its taste. It’s sweet and comforting, and sometimes it helps me reduce stress. But I try not to eat too much because it’s not very healthy.
Q: Why is chocolate famous in your city?
In my city, chocolate is popular because there are a lot of local shops and bakeries that make homemade chocolates. They’re quite affordable, and people often buy them as gifts during festivals and celebrations.
Q: Public transport related topic
I think public transport plays a crucial role in people’s daily lives. In my city, buses and micro-vans are the main modes of public transportation. They are cheap and convenient, but the problem is overcrowding. If the government invests more in modern buses or develops a metro system, it would reduce traffic jams and pollution.
