Sample Answer

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my concern regarding the proposed demolition of the old Town Hall building, located in the centre of our community.

This building is not only an architectural landmark but also a vital part of our local history. Constructed more than a century ago, it has hosted countless community events, cultural programmes, and even served as a shelter during difficult times. Many residents, including myself, feel a strong emotional attachment to it, as it represents the identity and heritage of our town.

Rather than tearing it down, I would like to suggest an alternative use for the building. With some renovation, it could be transformed into a community cultural centre, museum, or library. Such a facility would provide space for exhibitions, educational workshops, and social gatherings, giving both younger and older generations the opportunity to stay connected with their history while enjoying a functional public space.

In my opinion, the council’s plan to demolish the Town Hall would be a regrettable loss, not only for current residents but also for future generations. Once it is gone, an irreplaceable part of our heritage will be lost forever. I strongly urge you to reconsider and explore preservation and restoration options instead.

Thank you for taking my views into account. I hope the council will protect this valuable landmark for the benefit of the community.

Yours faithfully,
[Your Name]
