Sample Answer
Well, the first person who comes to my mind is my grandfather. He’s in his early 80s now, and I have known him obviously since I was born. He’s one of those people who has seen life from so many angles that talking to him always feels like opening a treasure chest of stories.
I remember when I was younger, he would often tell me about his childhood during the post-independence era in India. Life was tough back then, but he never made it sound depressing—rather, he would narrate it in such a lively way that I could almost picture the scenes in my head.
One of the most interesting phases of his life was when he worked as a mechanical engineer in the Indian Railways. He travelled extensively across the country, from the mountains in the north to the coastal areas in the south. He told me about staying in remote villages, working on steam engines, and meeting people from all walks of life. Back then, travel wasn’t as comfortable as it is today, but he loved every bit of it.
Another thing I really admire is how he adapted to change. Despite coming from a generation where technology was almost non-existent, he learned how to use a smartphone, video calls, and even online banking—just to stay connected with family. That really shows his open-mindedness.
I find his life inspiring because he didn’t just live through history—he embraced every challenge that came his way and turned it into an opportunity. Whenever I feel stuck in life, I think about his resilience and positive outlook, and it instantly lifts my mood.
