✅ Sample Answer:
Honestly speaking, I love being close to nature and breathing fresh air, but there was one time I visited a place where the air quality was extremely poor. It was during a trip to Delhi last winter — I went there to attend a seminar and also catch up with a few friends who live in the city.
I remember it clearly because as soon as I stepped outside the railway station, I could literally see a thick layer of smog covering the whole sky. The visibility was low, and there was a strong, unpleasant smell in the air — kind of like burnt plastic or chemicals. It immediately made my throat feel dry, and even breathing became a little uncomfortable.
Throughout my stay, I noticed that many people were wearing masks, not just because of COVID, but also due to pollution. I even checked the AQI (Air Quality Index), and it was marked in the “hazardous” category — above 400!
To be honest, I felt quite uneasy and a little worried about my health. I cut my trip short by a day because I couldn’t handle the environment. It made me realize how serious air pollution can be, especially in urban cities during winter due to vehicle emissions, industrial waste, and crop burning.
So all in all, it was a memorable visit, but for all the wrong reasons. I came back home with a new appreciation for the clean, fresh air we often take for granted in smaller towns.
